FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Here you’ll find answers to the most common questions before booking a service.

If yours isn’t on the list, just ask me. You don’t need to know what to call it or speak in technical jargon.

Not yet. On-site support in Mallorca will begin later. In the meantime, I can support you remotely as usual.

It depends on the type of issue. Remote support is usually the best option for software problems, configuration, accounts, security or minor adjustments. On-site support is better suited when the network, router, peripherals or several devices need to be checked at the same time. Workshop service usually makes more sense when longer tests, disassembly, internal cleaning, component replacement or a more thorough inspection are required.

If it’s not clear which option is best for your case, I’ll advise you before any work begins.

Yes. Before repairing anything, I can diagnose the problem, explain what options are available and whether it really makes sense to proceed. My goal isn’t to drag out a repair that makes no sense, but to help you make the most reasonable decision: repair, upgrade, reuse or replace the equipment.

The diagnosis has a variable cost and is only charged if the repair is ultimately not carried out.

My repairs, installations and technical configurations come with a 90-day warranty from the date the equipment is returned or the service is completed.

This warranty covers the same issue that was repaired or any problem directly caused by my work. If that happens, I’ll inspect and correct the affected part at no additional cost.

For work involving new parts or equipment, the labour is covered for 90 days, while the parts or equipment also retain the applicable legal or commercial warranty. If I supply the component, I’ll help you manage the corresponding warranty. If the component is supplied by the customer, the warranty for that part remains with the seller or manufacturer.

The warranty does not cover new or unrelated faults, failures of other components, accidental damage, improper use, third-party intervention, subsequent malware, data loss not included in the contracted service, or changes made after my intervention, such as updates, password changes, router or internet provider changes, Wi-Fi network changes, account changes, applications or system configuration.

For training or consulting services, the warranty is limited to correcting any error directly attributable to the information provided or configuration carried out during the session.

Before any sensitive intervention, it is important to have an up-to-date backup of your important data. That prior backup is the customer’s responsibility.

If you need me to create that backup before starting, I can do so as a separate service. In that case, I’ll take all necessary precautions to minimise the risk of data loss. Even so, when working with faulty equipment or storage devices in poor condition, it isn’t always possible to guarantee zero risk. If I detect a delicate situation that could result in data loss, I’ll let you know before continuing.

When dealing with sensitive or business information, I can enter into a confidentiality agreement covering the data I may access during the intervention. In any case, my way of working always follows one basic principle: only access the information strictly necessary to resolve the issue.

Yes. If it’s necessary to speak with your internet provider, the manufacturer or a technical support service, I can handle those conversations with you or on your behalf. I can also manage warranty claims to save you time and, while we’re at it, spare you the occasional desperate conversation with technical support.
